I seem to have a penchant for black and white theme lately. My social media presence will prove that as I have been filtering photos to make it look black and white. I just find it nice and a bit different from my usual.
Today however, I didn’t do much alterations as my ensemble was black and white. I felt like wearing something funky so I thought a knee-length socks will do the trick; tunic with a thick jumper on top of it completed the whole ensemble.
The paparazzi in the form of my husband went to work undetected; he kept on taking snaps in all angles at every single opportunity. I should have known. Lol! 😂
It’s nearly two months since my last update here. I find it fitting to publish something old if only to keep this blog thriving. LOL!
This is an old dress of mine which became a favorite outfit going to work. It came especially handy pre and post pregnancy. And believe it or not, I also wore it till the seventh month of my pregnancy. That’s how functional this dress was for me.
It’s almost a month since I returned to work. I have not overhauled my wardrobe. I still heavily relied on my old clothing which only means I really need to shed off some pounds so I could wear them again. Lucky most of my clothes are made from stretchable fabrics, otherwise I would not be able to wear them at all. And READ: most of them were my clothes from the Philippines.
I never shopped here as much as I did in the Philippines. But when my son was born, I mostly shopped for him.
Now that it is beginning to feel warmer with the onset of summer, I can thankfully feel almost normal all over again.
I must confess that I am your summer kind of girl where I can just throw in something light and easy. Though it is still spring, it’s quite surprising that the weather hits the high 30’s.
I am not complaining. I would prefer it than bundling up in the brutal winter days.
As it is, I am now beginning to have a little bit of trouble choosing clothes that will fit my bulging tummy. I feel so fortunate though that I have quite a few clothes that are made from stretchy fabrics and they are still good to go for a couple of weeks more.
On my birthday, earlier weather forecasts depicted a warmer day. As we were preparing for dinner, I initially thought of donning up in leggings with a sleeveless top and a pair of wedge to go along with the entire ensemble.
However, my Prince encouraged me to bare some more skin and show off some veiny legs. Hahaha! The wifey that is me simply obeyed without any complaints. LOL!
I survived one month of extremely cold and frigid winter season. It will be over in two months but it feels like two years. Arrrghh!
For someone like me who is used to a tropical season all my life, I suppose you know where I am coming from and what exactly “extreme” means in my own standards. It did not help at all that I need to don up for work early mornings and the most hated part of it all is the commuting where I have to brave the cold for a few minutes while waiting for my train or bus to arrive.
And what about the breakouts? This is one thing that I need to seriously deal with. I feel so much displeasure at how my skin has been reacting to this nasty weather coupled with my hormones that has been out of whack. Now, now! This is certainly and purely a woman’s lament. LOL! I guess I need to separately write about my issues on this.
This is the time of the year where I could only wish to bring summertime back. I know it could really get too extreme in the Land Down Under when it’s summer but the brutal cold is unbearable as well. It’s a beautiful day in winter though when the sun is out but entirely ugly and deadly when it’s windy.
Please allow me to throw in some pictures last summer if only to break the silence at this blog. LOL!
Two more months and I can’t wait to feel normal again. Hoping to have some beach escapades next summer. I will try to push it. Hahaha! 😉
It’s beginning to get real chilly out here especially in the morning and at night time. I am now bracing myself for the brutal cold of winter that is to come in two more weeks or so.
We still get beautiful warm sunny days in Autumn. However, in the early mornings when my Prince and I head out for Church on Sundays, we have got no choice but to bundle up or else, we’d go freezing.
If it’s enough consolation though, we don’t get snow in most parts of Australia. I must say it is a blessing. I don’t think I’d ever survive a snowy weather. Winter is fine minus the snow but I still feel miserable when this time of the year comes. I feel like everything’s gloomy around me. But when it’s a sunny day in winter, it’s just perfect!
I dread the thought that the wintry temps is just around the corner and I am not all too excited about it. All we could do is bundle up yet stay fab and chic. 😀
Unlike the previous Wardrobe Check episodes, this post is not flooded by photos of yours truly. There were quite a few shots taken of this dress but I forgot to bring my sunnies. The glaring sunshine was hurting my eyes and it didn’t looked good on the photos. I hope this will suffice for the moment.
Thank you my beautiful friend Ivy for this beautiful dress and Twerlyn for the lovely earrings. I feel so lucky to have generous friends like you!
Because it is Ate Juliana’s birthday, what could be more fitting than showing off the birthday gifts she sent my way for my birthday last year.
I never ask anything material from my friends. Their sincere friendship is more than enough gift for me.
However, when friends give out something and they do it with special thoughts the same way Ate Juliana did, I could only be grateful!
I feel so fab with this footwear! It’s simply perfect for summer!
She has carefully chosen all these gifts; making sure that the size perfectly fits. She did an excellent job! I felt truly special sporting these presents because it was given by a special friend I feel so blessed for having a gem of a pal like her!
For the past few weeks, our weekends were mostly filled with hunting for a new bed and some other bed/ bedroom accessories. In between that and a couple of other errands, my personal photographer that is my Prince never failed to document what I managed to pull out of my wardrobe cabinet.
I must say that he never disappoints! When I checked how many photos he took of me, I can only mutter:
“Oh! Em! Gee!”
There were close to 100!
He was tireless in pressing the shutter! He was practically everywhere!
I felt somehow guilty because there was at some point I felt unhappy when a couple of shots were against the light and I was telling him he could have done a lot better.
And I pulled the trigger at him- complaining this and that! LOL!
At times, he would motion and give instructions on where I should strike a pose while he gets the camera ready but I felt embarrassed because there were too many people. Hahaha! We weren’t in the car park, My Prince! How uncool! LOL!
In between looking for what we wanted at the shop, we both would stop for some snaps. We were crazy! Hahaha!
I never escaped going down the escalator without some snaps there too! I told you, there were a lot of takes for this series 😉
Anyhow, I felt like wearing a Shilla summer skirt and an old favorite white top from the Philippines which I brought in Sydney with me paired with my tattered PrimaDonna footwear. The pearl bangles was a gift from a dear pal (Thanks Aking!).
It’s always fun playing with your toy. So there it is for this weekend, folks!
It’s now summer in our neck of the woods. It’s the perfect time to sport out that comfy outfits. It’s the only time of the year when I feel normal out here in Australia. LOL!
Tell me about it. In the Philippines, it’s the usual outfit. But out here, I have got to wait for summer. What a bummer, right?
It was the usual day out on a weekend with my Prince and yes! He is once more my official photo taker! As long as it’s in the parking lot where there’s obviously only cars, he’s cool about being my official photographer. Hahaha! 😉
Please take note that I have to gather every trick I could muster with that “no- look, no-smile” projection. You’d rarely see me not smiling when infront of the camera. Hahaha!
Alright. I was able to withstand the excruciating heat of the sun just to be able to make do with this pictorial. Hahaha! But honestly, it was freaking hot and sticky! This is Australia’s summer heat, baby!
