I fancied taking a shameless selfie sporting the sunnies that was generously given to me as a present by a dear great blogpal on my birthday last year. I “felt” beautiful when I was staring back at myself in between snaps. This sunnies must have some magic on it. Lol!
When I was 20 weeks pregnant, no pair of shoes would ever fit me. My swelling had gotten worse. It was so frustrating to say the very least. I kept looking around for one that could be comfortable for a pregnant woman like me that had ballooned triple times.
After a number of frustrating tries at various shops, I’ve finally found one for me to use at our Year-end Thanksgiving at Church. I was told not to wear high heels so a low heeled-shoes was a sound and wise option.
It proved to be useful and comfortable now as I speak 3 months post-childbirth.
As you may have noticed by now, I am pampered by some virtual friends. It is such a wonderful feeling when friends go the extra mile to make me feel very special and loved.
Ivy of Glamorous Chic is one of my featured BFFs at my blog. She’s one amongst the few pioneering blogpals I ever had when I started out blogging 7 years ago. I actually consider her as my mentor with the “ins” and “outs” of blogging. Whatever little know- how I’ve learned, I got most if it from her. I couldn’t be more grateful for her; she patiently held my hand and guided me through until I finally learned the ropes of blogging.
Since then, it was pure joy to be her online friend. Please take note that we never ever met just yet but the connection is for real!
I was told last year that she bought a summer dress for me. But because she was very busy with work, she never managed to send it my way until the beginning of this year.
It was no longer a surprise when I got a box of lovely girly items from this beautiful and sexy fella 😉
I can hardly believe I got my 5th lipstick! And it’s just the first month of the year! Would that mean I will be counting off some more lippies the whole year round? Hahaha!
Last but not the least, she gave me this very sexy footwear. I certainly can’t wait for winter!
Can’t you see how generous and sweet she is? She is actually that and more! I sincerely appreciate the friendship I’ve shared with her. It’s amazing to have shared this kind of special bond virtually. That’s one of the perks of blogging that can not be bought by any amount of money!
Again, thank you Ayvz for this beautiful gifts! You truly made me happy!
I’ve got something in the mail today!
I felt very excited as I was opening the parcel. I have been expecting it to be delivered in our doorstep so it was no big surprise at all.
However, I was expecting to receive only one lippy but there I saw three different shades of lipsticks for me!
Indeed, I was the happiest girl in the world today!
Not only that, I also got a pair of fashionable earrings which I love to bits; a mascara and my ever reliant deodorant which I have been using for a couple of years now.
These were all gifted to me by my very generous, sweet and lovely longest-running pal- online and offline- all the way from California, USA- Twerlyn.
She also sent me a heartfelt holiday card with the photographs of her beautiful family.
Isn’t that a wonderful way to start out the year? It is indescribable when friends go out of their way to make me feel very special and loved. It’s simply awesome!
I am very blessed to be surrounded with good genuine pals and for that I am truly grateful!
Thank you Twerlyn for the gift of your long standing friendship. Over the years, you never failed me and you’ve always been the supportive, loyal, great friend that I could ever have! Please know that having you for a friend is one of my unspeakable gifts.
Miss and love you so!
I haven’t had any Naturalizer shoe brand before. Its price range varies.
For sneakers, it ranges between 3K to 4K. I think it’s a lot more expensive than my favorite Converse shoes
I love to wear my Naturalizer shoes on casual occasions. It is usually when I sport out shorts or I am wearing mini skirts.
What I love with this shoes is that it is very comfortable. My feet does not hurt at all and it is very light. Just perfect for casual fun outdoor.
My hair gets easily dry, frizzy and unmanageable when I don’t undergo hair treatment in a matter of three (3) months. When the hair gets untreated for that length of time, it gets freaking annoying and it makes me feel so ugly. LOL!
I never really do anything drastic with my hair. I don’t go for hair rebonding or any other invasive treatments that could cause further damage to my already dry and damaged hair. I only opt for hair treatments like hotoil, hairwax and cellophane.
Last May, I decided to try something new. They said it’s more effective than the previous hair treatments that I have had. So I was convinced! True enough, I loved the outcome and the effect on my hair was fab!
As I have earlier mentioned, I need to maintain my hair every 3 months or else, I would go nuts. LOL!
My hair has gotten worse this time.
So I did another keratin treatment.
I was happy with the results but my pocket wasn’t. It was overly expensive!
I should search for another salon that offers cheaper services for Keratin treatment the next time out.
Each year, I update my wardrobe and clean-up my closet. Due to excessive and impulsive purchases, I decided to put up an online store to sell off some items that were honestly hardly worn. The other stuff, I handed down to my cousins and nieces in the province.
Sadly, only three of them benefited from my clothes, apart from Ally and my SIL, whom I gave out the bigger clothes that I had when I gained weight for a time. Most of my relatives were medium or large sized. LOL!
Take a peak at the clothes that were handed down to the lucky recipients:
My nieces were grinning from ear to ear when I finally gave out these clothing to them. They don’t need to buy new stuff for the entire year. LOL!
I used to dream of being a successful local artist when I was younger. It was a big dream during college. I dreamt about being on-stage with a rockin’ guitar plugged in one of those audio interface and sing my heart out while wearing a sexy yet rockin’ outfit. LOL! Just like Avril Lavigne. I used to sing some of her songs in college.
The dream eventually died when I started working. I didn’t pursue the dream, anyway. I just got tired of it, I guess. But sometimes the dream pops up especially if I’m watching variety shows on TV or checkin’ out live performances. They make me reminisce the feeling of being on stage. Doing what you love to do.
I may not have pursued my dream but I’m happy that somehow I was able to get on stage on my younger years. My dream will always be a dream. Who knows? That dream might still come true.
OK. So I have showed off H E R E the pair of shoes that my good friend Twerlyn handed down to me. You must be wondering what was the additional pair of shoes that came as a bonus that she included in the box without me knowing it. She later informed me that the box still has got enough space for one more pair so she deemed it best to include in the box.
Here it is:
Isn’t it chic? 😉
Hear yeah! Hear yeah!
It’s actually an old news but still, I’d want to share that I also am amongst the many number of lucky recipients of the lovely pair of sunnies that was sent my way all for FREE!
Whoaaah! Is it not great? I had in my hands 7 pairs of sunglasses. I was too happy to sport this out myself. I chose the designs I love from the website of the advertiser and here’s what I got:
