My Mom, being sick with Behçet’s disease worry too much financially. She’s worried that when she gets very sick, she wouldn’t have anymore money to use for her medication. Another thing she worries about is that when she turns 66 years old on March of next year, she won’t be able to use the health card I enrolled her for anymore. Even if I told her that I will have to check with the company if I can still continue to pay for her health card so she can still take advantage of all the health benefits of the health insurance company. I really haven’t checked other insurance companies and make comparisons of universal life insurance vs term life insurance. I still don’t have the time yet.
If only I can take away her pain and worries so she won’t get too ill, I will really do that. The thing is, she doesn’t even want to listen to whatever it is that I’m telling her. She just wanted to worry right now. And there’s nothing I can do about it. I just can’t see the point why she doesn’t want to listen to me. I hope I can find someone whom she will take good advises from.
You might be wondering what that photo above is for. Well, that is Lainy’s cover photo of her online clothing page – The Fab Chic’s Closet! This is what she said when she put up the page:
“As a result of my closet spring-cleaning, I have selected some clothes to be placed on sale and at very reasonable prices. Up for grabs are preloved clothes that’s never worn out. Items were rarely used. These are guaranteed to be in excellent condition. Worth every penny! Prices range as low as P30! Watch out for great selection of items to be uploaded very soon!”
As we all know, Lainy is a fashonista. She’s got a lot of clothes in her “CLOSETS” that she rarely wear. Now she don’t know what to do with most of them since she’s got new sets of clothes to fill her already-filled closet. So she thought about selling them! I was able to grab some of those pre-used yet very nice clothes! 😀 Here’s one of them:
There it is! A very nice dress at an affordable price!
There are lots of clothes available for grabs at her page. You can go ahead and click on the link above to like her page and make your own selection of those pretty clothes!
Golf is a game of rich people. Let’s accept it. I never heard of anyone who played golf and had a rags-to-riches story. All of them who’s hobby is to smoothly swing that clubs can afford the expenses (from the accessories to paying for the caddies and golf club membership) are the rich people.
I myself haven’t gone to a golf tournament. I’m not one of the rich anyway who can also afford to buy golf gps anyway. But I hope I’d be able to watch a game once in my lifetime and see if it is boring game or not.
Many of us were devastated, some were even furious (including my older brother, Alex) when Manny Pacquiao’s defeat to Timothy Bradley was announced at the MGM Grand last Sunday. They say Pacquiao was robbed by Bradley of his title.
I haven’t seen the fight myself (because I did my laundry. LOL!) but I was also saddened by the fact that Manny Pacquiao lost to a young fighter like Bradley when they say that most of the hits were from Manny.
Maybe those who are behind the “boxing empire” wanted rich people to bet some more. What do you all think? Or maybe is it time for Manny to retire and build some more businesses here in the Philippines like selling zip ties, or put up some more gasoline stations in the province to increase employment in GenSan and Sarangani Province?
Or maybe make Mommy Dionisia’s wish for a rematch come true? What do you all think? 😀
The World Naked Bike Ride took place on June 9, 2012. It was celebrated in different parts of the world. The cyclists who participated the event stripped their clothes off to get everyone’s attention. Their aim is to:
“promote a body-positive culture and encourage cycling as a greener mode of transportation.”
Guess what? They did get everyone’s attention, didn’t they? 😀
One of my closest friends here in Manila, Irene, is going to celebrate her birthday 8 days from now. And I still have no idea what to give to her on her natal day.
I want to make her happy on her birthday the way she made me feel when I celebrated mine. She gave me a printed copy of a caricature of myself holding a guitar with some notes from our other friends on the back of the picture. So sweet of her to do that, right? And her personal gift is a printed copy of this:
We are like sisters. We are always together especially during activities at church. We laugh most of the time and share some secrets as well. I love this friend of mine that’s why I want to make her happy. I’m thinking about checking out some cheap jewelry online or maybe buy her a jewelry with a mickey mouse theme since that is her ever-favorite cartoon character. I don’t know yet. Maybe I’ll choose the latter!
Summer has come to an end! Here comes the rainy season here in the Philippines. We won’t be wishing to be in a beach somewhere sunbathing in what appears to be chaise lounge chair at ChaiseLounges.com to get tanned.
We would rather just stay indoors this time and spend more time with our family while the rain pours hard outside.
Let’s just not forget to bring our umbrellas when we decide to go out and do our chores since it has been raining cats and dogs lately. Let’s not get sick this rainy season, aight?
I am a fan of Tyra Banks. I used to watch her show – America’s Next Top Model and love how she’s able to make those beautiful women’s dream turn in to reality. For me, she’s not only a top model on the Runway but also she’s a role model to all the girls who dream big not only in the fashion industry but also in whatever profession they choose. She’s an independent and strong woman who also has been to a lot of hardships but never backed down. She’s is inspiring.
It’s amazing how she looks up to Filipino talents in the fashion industry. As we all know, a lot of Filipino designers have been made known in the U.S. Just like Monique Lhuillier. She’s been creating beautiful dresses – wedding dresses for big stars.
Just recently, Tyra wore another Filipino designer’s work on her show! I am so pleased! It was Rajo Laurel’s collection that she showcased on the last episode of Cycle 18 of America’s Next Top Model.
Doesn’t she looked great on the dresses? Cheers to all the great Filipino designers! I’m so proud!
Yep! Lainy does look like a band vocalist on that photo! 😀 I’m not sure if the outfit was for a night out with friends or that was what she wore on one of those nights she went to watch Kuerdas Band’s gig. But she certainly look good on the outfit. I just think she’s missing a little bit of black eyeliners to look like a rock star. No need for a cigar on her hand, though! 😀
