However, going by the smug faces of those who claim that they have eaten such and such a dish or those who make themselves more than necessarily audible when describing how wonderful it was to be dining at such and such a place, I begin to wonder. Hmmm, Food has become a status quo item, a fashion.
I have seen queues at certain eating places, one of them is an outlet that sells doughnuts. Yes, just doughnuts, and the queue was so long, it had to form into a zig-zag so that the customers would not end standing in line on the main road.
And again, I wondered why? What could be so gastronomical about a doughnut? I found the answer later on in that same week when someone asked me, “Have you eaten that so and so doughnut?”. “You have not? OMG you are not in with the mainstream! You shouldn’t miss being seen eating them”.
I shrugged my head in disbelief and said to myself, “This world has gone insane”.
