>We have heard of that proverbial saying. But how far is it true? I am not in any Woman’s Lib Movement and it is not something that I write now in that direction. What leads me to write this article is something that I came across recently about the ignominy of any person who is born female in certain countries.
It shocked me to read that girls in these countries are barred from school education. They can’t write or read as a result of their cultural impediment. As I read on, it was even more shocking to learn at what tender age these girls are married. They become mothers even before they know a thing about pregnancy and child care.

The braver girls who try to escape the prospect of being a slave wife, brutally injure themselves so that they are not considered marriage prospects. How awful!
And therefore, I ask this question again, Does the hand that rocks the cradle rule the world? Is most certainly does not in countries where male chauvinism and folly cruelly denies and deprives their females from an equal partaking in the commonwealth.
